Think of this more as a public service announcement than a blog post. I just want to be sure that you, dear reader, are not left on the outside looking in for what I hope will be one of the best afternoons any of us has had in a long time. In case you missed my previous post about this event, on Sunday November 5, from 2-5 in the afternoon, I’m helping to host a wine auction, the proceeds from which will benefit the Omaha Public Schools Foundation, a wonderful and important charity that is near to my heart.
If you attend the event, you’ll have live music, food, and wine all at your fingertips, as well as a great time to socialize with others. You’ll also have the opportunity to bid on some truly terrific wines that have been donated by the generous people of Napa, Sonoma, and other nearby wine regions. As recently as last night, I was on the phone with a winemaker in Napa, a man I’ve known and admired for years, who heard about this event and, despite his own struggles due to fire, wanted to be sure to help. He’s sending a vertical of his amazing Cab Sauv.
Your ticket price of $50 is a donation to the Omaha Public Schools Foundation. Any wine or other times you win in the silent auction will also support their important work. If you’re interested in what is being auctioned off, the original post contains much of the wine, though since then many more items have been donated. You can read my original post about the event here:
I deeply appreciate those of you who read this blog. I wanted to be sure to use it, and my connections in the industry, to do some genuine good in the world. This auction is my first attempt at that. I hope you can join me November 5 from 2-5pm. Please feel free to reach out with questions. To purchase tickets, use this link:

Good morning Mark! My interest for the auction would be in the kelleher. What year is the CS?

Terrific choice Perry! Their Cabernet Vineyard is right there on 29 under the Mayacamas. Sonja and I visited it last year. I believe the vintage is 2013. I am gone all day today, but I will check soon and get back to you. Thanks so much for your support!

Hi Perry! Sorry for the delay! The Cabernet is 2012, the Sauv Blanc is 2015. The value of that lot is $200 if I remember correctly. Cheers my friend!
