A suggestion from a local retailer for it’s value (right around $30) this Napa Cab is impressive in a number of ways. On the nose, hints of butter and strong minerals linger in the flashy fruits, and on the palate a robust, balanced Cab with tremendous texture and fruits ranging from nearly bright to fairly dark, mingled with subtle hints of leather.
It’s the texture and the structure that are the real attention getters here, although the wine from start to long dry finish is very enjoyable. 88 points on my scale.
